The Physics of Interstellar Travel
This Masters-level seminar course in summer semester 2026 is on various topics related to the physics of interstellar travel. This will be based on my textbook (you can find some short summary videos of the chapters there too). Details of the course can be found on heiCO (link below), which is also where you need to register for the course.

If you are interested in 'hard' science fiction books with a strong
element of space
travel, I can
recommend the
following:
Tau Zero, Poul Anderson (featuring the Bussard ramjet and near to light speed travel)
Project Hail Mary, Andy Weir (with some fun physics)
Fountains of Paradise, Arthur C. Clarke (featuring the space elevator)
Rendevous with Rama, Arthur C. Clarke (a classic)
Contact, Carl Sagan (more SETI than travel)
